We're happy to support the Boone County Relay for Life with a donation of over $2,100 raised by Arvest associates in Harrison, Ark., who sold barbecue sandwiches to local schools and businesses.
YELLVILLE, Ark. – Arvest Bank associates recently raised money for the Boone County Relay for Life event being held in June. Over $2,100 was raised by selling barbecue sandwich meals to over fifty different local businesses and three local schools. A team of associates took orders prior to the delivery day, then they
cooked the meat, assembled the sandwiches, stuffed paper bags and coordinated orders and delivery times for over 480 lunches.
“We are thrilled with the success of this event and I am so proud of all of our associates that worked together to make it happen,” said Scott Miller, Market President for Arvest Bank in Harrison, Ark. “Relay for Life is a great event and we are happy to do our part to support the event and our community as a whole. I encourage everyone who can to come out and support the Relay for Life in June.”
The Boone County Relay for Life event will be held June 13-14 at First Baptist Church in Harrison. Relay for Life is a fundraiser benefiting the American Cancer Society that communities around the world participate in. Each year, more than 4 million people in over 20 countries take part in this global phenomenon and raise much-needed funds and awareness to save lives from cancer.
